Community Benefit Plan

Comprehensive Therapy Center’s Community Benefit Plan’s primary focus is therapeutic health-care for adults and children with disabilities who may be at-risk or disadvantaged.  During the school year we will continue to offer affordable special education services to schools.  During the summer, Therapy and Fun will continue to serve children who may be categorized as low-income, un- or underinsured, or on government supported health care programs. Adults are served year round as we help them to maintain their independence.  If our agency does not offer the services that a person requires we will help refer them to the community agency that can help them. We expect that life skills gained through therapy, translates to increased productivity and independence.

  • In order to serve this population, the agency will maintain a qualified staff of professionals and volunteers.
  • In addition to serving clients directly our agency will also offer educational programming for teachers, families, and the community at large.
  • The agency partners with colleges to provide clinical practice for health care students.
  • The agency will build community with our partners: physicians, schools, hospitals, Early On and other organization in order to better serve our target population and will maintain a Community Resource Directory.
  • The agency will provide a mentoring program for teen-aged therapy aides.
  • Although success is seen in the smiles of the children when they are able to walk, talk, learn and play we quantify the results.  Outcomes are measured by written evaluations and performance appraisals.
  • In order to fund these programs the agency will seek community support through grant requests, special events, fundraisers, and an annual appeal.

Through our unique combination of therapy, mentoring, and volunteerism we promote a culture dedicated to positively supporting people with disabilities who may be disadvantaged or at- risk.
