Special Education Services
During the school year, Comprehensive Therapy Center provides Special Education Services to many schools, primarily independent charter schools, throughout West Michigan.   Our professional staff includes speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, school social workers, school psychologists, and teacher consultants who work with children with special needs or who are at-risk.

If your school is in need of our services please contact us for more information.

  Therapy and Fun Summer Program
Since 1982, our summer program Therapy and Fun has served over 650 children with disabilities who need ongoing therapy.  Therapy and Fun integrates speech-language, motor and sensory therapies to maximize progress for children with disabilities. Unique in West Michigan, our program offers children nine hours of intensive therapy per week, offers teen volunteers a meaningful learning experience and gives families support, encouragement, and respite.

Therapy and Fun Volunteer Therapy Aides - Building Community Stewards
Volunteers get real-life career experience working alongside therapists. Each summer 45-55 teen therapy aides log over 2,000 volunteer hours as therapy aides.
Because of the population served, volunteers witness first-hand the effects on children of drug and alcohol abuse, neglect, and a variety of genetic and acquired disabilities.  Through our unique combination of therapy, mentoring, and volunteerism we promote a culture dedicated to positively supporting children with disabilities - helping children to walk, talk, learn and play.
